Italian manufacturer Axolift presented a scissor lift with a 4.95-meter working height at the Apex trade show, positioning itself strategically in the highly competitive low-lift segment against established providers such as Haulotte, JLG and Genie. The segment of compact scissor platforms up to five meters is considered high-volume but low-margin – smaller specialized providers are increasingly trying to gain market share through aggressive pricing or shorter delivery times. Technical details regarding load capacity, drive type or special features of the Axolift new development were not communicated during the presentation. Market launch is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024, and distribution partners in the DACH region are currently in negotiations.
