The rental company Gagarin has ordered a Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 with 90 tons of lifting capacity – for the first time a mobile crane from the German manufacturer. The move marks a supplier change in the mid-range tonnage segment, which has so far been dominated by Tadano Demag and other established providers. The LTM 1090-4.2 offers a 60-meter telescopic boom and is characterized by compact transport dimensions with full EC1 approval. The decision could indicate changed requirements for fleet efficiency or service concepts and shows the intensified competitive situation in the German mobile crane rental market.
