Herrenknecht from Schwanau is once again active at the Gotthard. The tunnel construction specialist had already significantly enabled the world's longest railway tunnel at 57 kilometers – the Gotthard Base Tunnel was commissioned in 2016. Whether the current contract involves maintenance work, retrofitting, or new infrastructure projects in the Gotthard massif has not yet been communicated.
