Keestrack Expands into the USA with Electric System Solutions

Belgian manufacturer of mobile crushing and screening equipment Keestrack is using ConExpo-ConAgg 2023 in Las Vegas as a platform for its strengthened expansion into the North American market. The company from Bilzen is presenting its electric system solutions to an American trade audience for the first time, thereby underscoring its pioneering role in sustainable construction machinery.

Electric Technology as Market Differentiation

At the center of the trade show presentation is the R5e impact crusher, which can be operated entirely electrically. This system marks an important milestone in Keestrack's electrification strategy, which began as early as 2012 with the introduction of hybrid and electric plug-in solutions. The R5e can optionally be operated via a grid connection for completely emission-free operation or via a generator set.

Particularly innovative is the drop-off concept of the drive: The motor-generator set can be placed either on the machine chassis or separately next to the system. This flexibility enables easier maintenance in a less dusty and vibration-free environment at ground level. Additionally, multiple systems can be connected to a single generator set, which enables significant cost savings in operation and maintenance.

Comprehensive Portfolio for Various Applications

In addition to the electric flagship, Keestrack showcases a wide range of proven system technology. This includes the H4e cone crusher in closed circuit as well as the award-winning R3 impact crusher. For primary crushing, the company presents the heavy-duty B7 jaw crusher.

The product range is complemented by the K6 scalper, which is positioned by the manufacturer as the most productive pre-screening plant on the market, as well as the dust suppression cannon W7 for effective dust control during the crushing process.

Strategic Market Positioning in North America

With its US headquarters in Texas, Keestrack signals a long-term commitment to the American market. The presence at ConExpo occurs together with American, Canadian, and Latin American distribution partners, which underscores regional market penetration.

Keestrack positions itself as a provider of innovative and cost-effective tracked mobile crushing and screening equipment with a focus on best performance at the lowest cost per ton produced. This positioning is likely to generate interest, particularly in the cost-oriented American markets for recycling and demolition.

Sustainability as a Competitive Advantage

Early focus on electric and hybrid drive technologies gives Keestrack a head start in a market increasingly focused on emission-free construction machinery. The plug-in solutions enable operators to flexibly switch between grid-connected and mobile operation while optimizing operating costs.
