OTR Expands Rubber Track Range with Surface-Protecting E5 Tread
Tire manufacturer OTR Engineered Solutions has expanded its range of rubber tracks for compact loaders with the new TrackBoss E5 tread. The innovation is aimed at operators who use their machines on sensitive surfaces and want to minimize damage without having to compromise on work performance.
Combination of Protection and Traction
"Machine operators shouldn't have to choose between protecting the job site and work efficiency", explains Michael Dembe, Vice President Construction at OTR. According to the manufacturer, the E5 tread combines surface-protecting properties with the familiar durability and traction that customers expect from OTR track solutions.
The characteristic multi-bar pattern of the E5 tread combines the gentle ride of traditional straight-bar treads with the increased traction of treads with multiple connection points. This construction is intended to offer particular advantages when working on sensitive surfaces such as lawns, pavement, or other delicate surfaces.
Special Rubber Compound for Longer Service Life
The technical heart of the E5 tread is an exclusive rubber compound that was developed for improved tread durability and increased resistance to cuts and chips. OTR promises a longer service life without performance losses compared to conventional track treads.
The new rubber track is initially available in the most common sizes and widths for compact loaders. This enables operators of various machine classes to benefit from the advantages of the surface-protecting tread.
Market Positioning and Availability
With the introduction of the E5 tread, OTR underscores its strategy to grow both in the replacement parts market and in OEM partnerships. Oscar Torres, President and CEO of the company, emphasizes: "Innovations like the E5 tread reflect OTR's continuous investments in expanding our track solutions and offer our customers worldwide greater added value."
To support the selection of the appropriate track solution, OTR offers the online tool "Track Finder". This digital tool is intended to make it easier for customers to identify the optimal track size and appropriate tread pattern for their specific application.
Significance for the Construction Equipment Industry
The development of surface-protecting rubber tracks reflects a growing trend in earthmoving: Compact loaders are increasingly being used in urban environments and on sensitive surfaces where ground protection plays a central role. The E5 tread could therefore be particularly interesting for companies that offer services in landscaping, residential areas, or infrastructure work in already developed areas.
With the market launch of the TrackBoss E5, OTR positions itself as a provider of specialized solutions for demanding operating conditions and responds to the changing requirements of the modern construction industry.
