Kleemann has received an ISSA award for safety innovations in processing technology. The award could be a turning point for the highly competitive market of attachment equipment and mobile crushing plants, where competitors such as MB Crusher have so far competed primarily on cost efficiency and maneuverability.

To date, in the segment of crusher buckets and screening units, acquisition costs and amortization period have been the primary purchasing arguments. The Kleemann award suggests that the focus is shifting: safety features – such as integrated protective devices, operator interfaces, and emergency shutdowns – could become industry standard in the future and thus part of mandatory requirements.

For fleet managers and purchasers, this means a reorientation of evaluation criteria. Not only dumping load and digging depth count, but also documented safety performance and potential insurance premium savings. It is expected that other manufacturers will follow suit to remain competitive.
