German crane rental company Gagarin has ordered its first Liebherr mobile crane, a 90-tonne LTM 1090-4.2, marking a shift away from previous supplier Tadano Demag. The four-axle all-terrain crane features a 60-metre telescopic boom and is powered by a 330 kW diesel engine. The order reflects increasing competition in the German mobile crane rental market, where Liebherr has been gaining ground against established players. The LTM 1090-4.2 entered series production in 2016 as Liebherr's entry into the 90-tonne class.
