Japanese construction machinery manufacturer Kobelco and Swedish tiltrotator specialist Engcon have jointly developed an automatic height and inclination function for hydraulic excavators. The technology enables automated control of the tiltrotator directly from the operator's cab, making precise earthwork possible with fewer manual interventions. The cooperation is an example of the trend toward increased integration of attachments into machine control – previously, tiltrotators usually had to be operated separately. Market launch and technical specifications such as compatible machine classes or retrofit options for existing fleets have not yet been communicated.
