Liebherr has introduced an AI-powered image recognition system for spare parts identification. The technology allows customers to photograph components with a smartphone and automatically receive the correct part number for ordering. The system targets reduced machine downtime by accelerating the parts procurement process, particularly critical in the aftermarket segment which typically accounts for a significant share of manufacturer revenues. The solution is being rolled out across Liebherr's construction equipment division.
