Liebherr has been awarded the Red Dot Award for product design, with the jury recognising the manufacturer's latest excavator cab design and operator interface concept. The award highlights the cab's ergonomic layout, visibility optimisation and integrated control systems, which are deployed across multiple excavator model lines from the 20-tonne to 45-tonne operating weight classes. The Red Dot Award, established in 1955, evaluates products based on innovation, functionality and design quality, with around 20,000 entries from over 60 countries annually. The recognition underscores growing industry focus on operator comfort and efficiency alongside traditional performance metrics such as breakout force and fuel consumption.
