Tadano is equipping its RX Pick & Carry crane series with an extendable wheelbase. The technical innovation is designed to increase the tipping load in confined operations by adapting the axle geometry to different load situations. Particularly in city center operations with changing ground and space conditions, the variable track width could reduce setup times through faster positioning. The expansion targets the growing segment of compact mobile cranes for urban construction sites, where Tadano competes against established European manufacturers.
