US construction equipment manufacturer Terex is offering its aerial work platform division Genie for sale. The trigger is the announced merger with REV Group, a manufacturer of specialty vehicles. Genie is considered one of the world's leading providers of articulating and telescopic aerial work platforms as well as scissor lifts and generates a significant portion of Terex's revenue. With the sale, Terex is executing a strategic restructuring and saying goodbye to a core business that has been part of its portfolio for decades.
