The Wirtgen Group unites four premium brands under one roof: Wirtgen (cold milling machines, recyclers), Vögele (asphalt pavers), Hamm (compactors) and Kleemann (crushers and screening plants). Since its acquisition by John Deere in 2017 for $5.2 billion, the group is part of the Construction & Forestry segment of the U.S. corporation. Approximately 9,000 employees work at locations worldwide, with headquarters in Windhagen (Rhineland-Palatinate).
