Hyva presented its portfolio of hydraulics, tipping and lifting technology for the first time as part of JOST World from April 7-13, 2025 at the bauma 2025 outdoor stand FN921/2 in Munich. The focus was on digital safety systems for dump trucks, electric drive solutions for hydraulic work equipment and high-load cylinder technology for mining. The new products target three operational risk areas: tipping accidents due to lack of data, noise and energy inefficiency in electric vehicles, and downtime for mining cylinders under extreme conditions.

DTS Guide: Digital Tipping Safety and Efficiency System

Hyva introduced DTS Guide (Digital Tipping Solutions), a cloud-based system for dump trucks consisting of an onboard unit for front loader tippers and a cloud platform for fleet managers. The solution continuously collects sensor data on tilt, load, ground conditions and environmental factors during the tipping process. Drivers receive real-time warnings at critical angles or unstable ground directly in the cab; fleet managers can analyze historical tipping data via the dashboard, identify risk patterns and derive training needs.

According to the manufacturer, the system is designed to reduce accident risk while providing productivity data that fleet managers can use to optimize unloading processes and increase profitability. The combination of driver assistance and fleet telematics addresses two weaknesses: human misjudgments on changing construction sites and lack of data foundations for continuous improvements.

ePowerbox100: Electric Auxiliary Drives for Hydraulic Work Equipment

With the ePowerbox100, Hyva demonstrated a side-mounted electric power take-off (ePTO) solution for electric commercial vehicles with hydraulic work equipment. The unit converts high-voltage energy from the vehicle battery into hydraulic power and drives tippers, hook loaders, roll-off tippers or concrete mixers. The goal is to maximize hydraulic efficiency while minimizing operating noise – an advantage for inner-city operations with strict noise regulations.

The ePowerbox100 is designed for medium and heavy electric trucks, which are increasingly being deployed in municipal fleets and construction site logistics. Electric auxiliary drives are considered key technology for electrification of the construction site, as conventional mechanical or hydraulic power take-offs are not available on battery-electric vehicles. With this solution, Hyva addresses a growing need: while electric trucks are already established in distribution transport, suitable attachment technology for work superstructures is often still lacking.

Mining Cylinders for Up to 160 Tons Load Capacity

Hyva presented its mining cylinder range, including the new Alpha UHD-PRO Front-End cylinders and USE Underbody cylinders for mining applications with load capacities up to 160 tons. Both series are designed for wide-body dump trucks in open pit mining, where downtime caused by cylinder defects can cause significant production losses.

A trade show highlight was the world premiere of a hydraulic chassis suspension cylinder for chassis suspensions on wide-body mining dump trucks. The solution is designed to reduce vibrations and shock loads on unpaved mine roads and thus extend the service life of the chassis, frame and cargo. Hyva markets the mining cylinders with attributes such as strength, durability and reliability under extreme conditions – core features in an operating environment where repair cycles and spare parts logistics cause high operating costs.

Additionally, the company showcased the DA-T Horizontal series with double-acting telescopic cylinders for horizontal applications, such as in pusher or slide aggregates.

Titan Hook Loaders and Skiploaders with Weight and Speed Optimization

In the segment of attachment equipment for municipal and waste disposal vehicles, Hyva introduced the T24-60-S PRO Titan Hookloader, a 24-ton model from the Titan-PRO series. The innovation lies in weight reduction: According to the manufacturer, the PRO hook loader is up to 350 kg lighter than the previous model and achieves a mounting height of only 250 mm. The lower mounting height lowers the vehicle center of gravity, which improves cornering stability and handling. At the same time, the available transport volume increases, as more payload or larger containers are possible.

The T24-60-S PRO offers an increased tipping angle that makes it easier to empty sticky or wet materials – a practical detail for construction waste or biomass. Optionally available is a fully electric, proportionally and sequentially controlled wireless remote control, in addition to standard compressed air control.

The Titan Skiploaders are represented by the TS18-41-TAZ model, which is designed for faster cycle times, higher safety and greater reach. According to Hyva, the skiploader offers the best telescopic reach on the market, making it easier to load and unload containers in tight or hard-to-reach areas. The new wireless remote control features intelligent functions such as auto-home sequence, intelligent stability control and integrated weighing system. Container clamping systems ensure secure load securing.

Additionally, skiploaders can be equipped at the factory with tarp systems that allow drivers to safely cover loads from the ground – a safety gain and time advantage over manual covers at vehicle height.

Crane Technology: HC183X and HB152

In crane operations, Hyva showed the HC183X, an 18 tm mid-size loader crane from the EDGE line, designed for construction and logistics applications. The crane features four hydraulic extensions, Hyva's most advanced CE control system, a 7-inch display and wireless remote control. The equipment is aimed at users who need simple operation and flexible deployment options through accessories.

Alongside was the HB152 from the CORE line, a 15 tm crane with robust construction and competitive pricing. The model is positioned for growing markets where price-to-performance ratio and availability are decisive. With two hydraulic extensions, the HB152 achieves a reach of 8 meters. Hydraulic load limiting protects the crane from overload and is designed to extend service life.

TRIDEC TP-O Low: Swivel Axle Suspension for Lowbed Trailers

Under the TRIDEC brand, Hyva showcased the TP-O Low Swivel Axle Suspension, designed for independent trailer manufacturers and addressing the European market for lowbed trailers with high volume. The solution offers a spring travel of 600 mm and achieves the lowest ride height when loaded at 12 tons per axle set. According to the manufacturer, the steering angle exceeds all other suspension systems, enabling more precise maneuvering for heavy haul transports. The solution targets demanding transportation tasks where vehicle height and turning radius are limiting factors.

Market Positioning and Outlook

With its appearance at bauma 2025 as part of JOST World, Hyva wanted to strengthen its market presence in hydraulics and commercial vehicle attachment technology. The product range covers classic tipper technology as well as digital safety solutions, telematics and electrification – topics increasingly demanded by fleet managers, municipalities and construction companies.

The bauma 2025 took place from April 7-13, 2025 in Munich. Hyva used the trade show to demonstrate technical solutions for three core requirements: increased safety through digital assistance systems, reduced operating costs through efficiency gains and longer service life through robust cylinder and lifting technology. Whether the new solutions deliver the promised benefits in practical use will become apparent in the coming months as first customers report their experiences with DTS Guide, ePowerbox100 and the new Titan models.
