Jung Hebe- und Transporttechnik GmbH from Waiblingen has launched the JLA-e 5/12, an electrically driven transport chassis designed for loads up to 200 tonnes. The unit features remote control operation, targeting applications in heavy fabrication, steel construction and plant engineering. The system marks a shift towards electrification in the heavy-duty transport segment, where diesel-hydraulic solutions have traditionally dominated due to power density requirements. Jung positions the JLA-e 5/12 as a zero-emission alternative for indoor and noise-sensitive environments where conventional prime movers face restrictions.
