Merlo is introducing its new remote control system 'Roto Radiocomando' for telescopic handlers. The radio remote control allows machines to be operated from a safe distance – for example, when working in tight halls or on confusing construction sites. The system fits into the automation trend in construction: manufacturers such as Manitou, JCB and Bobcat already have similar solutions in their portfolio. Merlo has not yet announced which model series will be offered with this technology and what the retrofit will cost.
