The Wirtgen Group is focusing on material processing at Hillhead 2026. Five new Kleemann crushers and screens are at the center of attention. The group presents closed process chains for recycling operations and road builders.
The Wirtgen Group positions Kleemann as a complete provider for material processing. The five new machines cover the entire process: from the crusher to the screen to the bucket handling logistics. The target market is operations that process construction debris, asphalt, or natural stone directly at the job site.
Wirtgen Group has not yet provided specific technical data. The focus is on end-to-end solutions: crushers and screens should work seamlessly together. This reduces downtime and lowers operating costs per ton of processed material. For road construction companies, this means shorter transport distances and lower landfill costs.
Hillhead 2026 takes place from June 23-25 in Buxton, Great Britain. The trade fair is considered Europe's leading trade fair for crushers and screening technology. Wirtgen Group uses the platform to position Kleemann as an alternative to manufacturers such as Metso and Sandvik.
For recycling operations, mobile systems are of interest. The Kleemann line offers tracked chassis and independent drives. This enables flexible deployment on changing job sites. Users working with jaw crushers, impact crushers, or cone crushers save themselves the transport to stationary systems.
The Wirtgen Group is part of the John Deere conglomerate. In addition to Kleemann, Vögele, HAMM, and BOMAG are also part of the group. The integration of crushers into the portfolio expands the value chain in road construction: from milling to crushing to installation.
Kleemann recently delivered crushers to Brazil, where they were integrated into asphalt plants. The Hillhead debut will show whether Wirtgen Group also uses electric or hybrid drives in mobile systems. Other manufacturers like Volvo CE or Caterpillar are already advancing these technologies.
Buyers should clarify before the trade fair: What throughput capacity do you need? What materials should be processed? And how often does the job site change? Mobile crushers pay for themselves after 5,000 operating hours if transport costs are saved. Stationary systems are cost-effective for permanent locations with high throughput.
